These Terms and Conditions of Supply govern the provision of our services and the use of our website. By using our services or making a donation through our site, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.

Services Provided
Asylum Speakers provides speakers with lived experience of migration and asylum to schools, companies, festivals, and events. Our services include:
Procuring and arranging speaking engagements on behalf of our Speakers.
Consultancy relating to the humanitarian sector

Contractual Process
Proposal: Upon request, we provide a bespoke proposal outlining the details of the speaking engagement.
Agreement: Once the proposal is accepted, a formal Booking Agreement contract is drafted and agreed upon by both parties.
Confirmation: The contract must be signed and returned, and any deposits must be paid, to confirm the booking.
Donations
We accept donations through our website to support our charitable activities. By making a donation, you agree to the following terms:
Donations are voluntary and non-refundable.
We use secure payment methods to process donations.
Donations are used to support our mission and activities.
Payment Terms
Invoices: Invoices for services will be issued within 7 days of delivery of the booking.
Expenses: Travel and accommodation expenses are to be covered by the client. If these are paid upfront by Asylum Speakers, a 10% fee will apply.
Payment Methods: Payments can be made via bank transfer, credit card, or other methods as specified in the invoice.
Due Date: Payments are due within 30 days of the invoice date, or as otherwise specified in the contract.
Late Payments: Late payments may incur additional charges as specified in the contract.
Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Refund Policy
Client Cancellation: Clients may cancel the booking by providing written notice. The following cancellation fees will apply unless otherwise stated in the Booking Agreement:
Within 5 days of the talk: 100% of the fee is charged.
More than 5 days before the talk: Only the booking fee and any non-refundable expenses are charged.
Client Rescheduling: If the client wishes to reschedule the talk, the following terms apply:
More than a week before the talk: The booking can be rescheduled. However, £30 administration fee will apply, along with any non-refundable travel expenses incurred for the original dates.
Within a week of the talk: Rescheduling within a week of the talk is treated as a cancellation, and 50% of the fee is charged.
Organisation Cancellation: If we need to cancel the booking due to unforeseen circumstances, we will first try to recommend an alternative speaker. If no suitable replacement can be found, we will provide a full refund for any advance payments made.
Liability and Disclaimers
Limitation of Liability: Our liability for any loss or damage arising from the provision of our services is limited to the amount paid for the services.
Disclaimers: We make no warranties or representations about the accuracy or completeness of the information provided by our speakers.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions of Supply from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and we will notify you of significant changes where required.
